In 2018-2019 she participated in the “Youth spirit of dance” organized by Vislav Dudik in Poland and Japan. She was the soloist of “Pa Quita” and the main cast member of “Fragment” by choreographer Jace Przybylowicz.

First encounter with K-POP was in junior high school
Kazuha was training hard in the Netherlands, but while studying abroad, a big problem was bothering her in her heart.
” I think that while I was continuing ballet, I thought a lot about whether or not I would be doing ballet exclusively in my life in the future. Of course, while I was doing ballet, I enjoyed the process and learned a lot, but at the same time, I kept thinking about whether this was the dream I wanted to pursue.”

Only when she encountered K-POP did she come to have such a “conflict.
In junior high school, she was shocked when she saw a music video by BLACKPINK, which was popular among her friends.
” I first got hooked on K-pop by listening to one of BLACKPINK’s older members. I think I first saw the music video for “Boombaya” by accident on YouTube, and I remember being surprised at the video and thinking, ‘What kind of world is this? Then, when the senior members of BLACKPINK came to Osaka, I went to their concert and saw them live.”

She went to the Osaka concert before studying in the Netherlands.
The impact of the show was considerable.
”When I saw BLACKPINK on stage, I cried and moved. I have seen many ballet performances in my life, but it was so different from a ballet performance, and it was beautiful. I frankly thought that I wanted to stand on a stage like that, and since the seniors of BLACKPINK are lovely, beautiful, and charismatic, I wanted to be like them. They didn’t have a cute style; they looked like nice girls.”

Her encounter with BLACKPINK made her want to try her hand on stage, where she could express herself in many different ways, in a genre other than ballet, such as K-POP.
Challenging K-POP Auditions
” But it wasn’t easy when it came time to start something new. I was also studying abroad, so there was a lot of frustration because I didn’t know how to enter the world of K-pop. Then, with COVID-19, all the K-POP auditions went online.”

After much worry, Kazuha decided to try it anyway and applied for HYBE’s K-POP audition in 2021.
She sent in for the audition a choreography video of BTS’s Dynamite and her ballet video.
She wanted to try the dance break of BTS’s Dynamite once.
While preparing for the audition, BTS’s Black Swan, which blends modern dance and K-pop choreography, impressed her. She found Jimin’s dance especially beautiful and wanted to challenge herself to express herself in a new way.
Kazuha was dyed in K-POP colors, both physically and mentally.
On August 6, 2021, she temporarily returned from the Netherlands, where she had been studying, to perform in BALLET AT A GATHERING.
This was her last ballet performance.

” When I was contacted about the casting, I was preparing for an audition for a ballet company at school, and I had a lot of worries about what kind of work I was going to do and in what kind of place. I didn’t even know what I could do from now on, so I thought there was no stable path anywhere. In that situation, I kept thinking about what I wanted to do from now on, and I felt it was right to choose a new path, that of K-pop, that of a singer.”

So the audition for the ballet company was an exam to get into the Dutch National Ballet.
This was a critical time for her to finally start her career as a professional student.
It was during that period that Kazuha passed the audition for K-POP.
Kazuha’s father was an experienced band member. Her mother was a member of a dance club during her school days. Both parents had been interested in K-pop for a long time, so they were very understanding about Kazuha becoming a trainee for a K-pop idol.
Start of practice in the Netherlands in November 2021.
She passed the audition in September and will start practicing for her debut in the Netherlands in November.
She first took Korean online lessons on Zoom.
Then, a vocal and dance trainer from HYBE and Source Music visited Holland to teach Kazuha how to choreograph, sing, and rap for her debut song.
She received 5 hours of vocal practice in the morning and choreography practice in the afternoon.
She greeted the members of LE SSERAFIM through Zoom.
Two months after she started learning Korean, but when she saw Kazuha preparing greetings and self-introductions, Sakura understood she was polite.
In January 2022, Kazuha entered Korea for the first time. She was quarantined in a hotel for a certain period, and even then, she practiced the choreography of his debut song, FEARLESS, alone.

On April 8, 2022, Kazuha was opened to the public as a member of LE SSERAFIM and debuted on May 2, 2022.
